I Have Arrived

Leanne flew to DC Friday night and was quite patient with me as we crammed everything I own into a 10' U Haul truck. I can honestly say, packing and moving seriously sucks.

Friday night:

Super champ helps me pack up the U-Haul. Ryan, this could be a new short film.

Saturday, 11hrs in the car:

Driving through NYC was THE WORST.

At last: Brattleboro, VT.

...everything is green...

Lucy and I make it to the house.

Welcome.
(Notice: VT Farm Show poster- who's in?)

The spacious kitchen.

Dobry checks the front door.

Looking into part of the main floor's living room and out to the deck.

Still working on furniture...

Upstairs: bedroom loft/ Downstairs: my bedroom & 2nd living room.

Downstairs living room/study. Still so much to be done.

Part of my bedroom.

Leanne enjoys the porch.

Neighbors art deco

A nice restaurant! Downtown is actually pretty neat.

And look- I've already made friends.
(Note man in leopard pant's tail- he got it from the Greatful Dead- "only trust worthy kids get these tails". What kids go to GD concerts?)

* * *

All in all, the place is quite spacious with lots of odd details hidden away. There are so many nooks and crannies that it is almost impossible to get a good idea of the layout through photographs. While I was pleasantly surprised by the abundance of nice restaurants and little shops downtown, living in the woods after living in DC and Prague is going to be quite the culture shock.

Next adventure: Prague. (Get ready kiddos!)

Cau!
